Deodorant & Antiperspirant; Infection, gunk, & Answers.

The sun is shining, outside is warming up, and... body odor is in the air? As our simple solution we roll, slide, or spray some sweet smelling chemicals into our arm pits. Better, right?

MAYBE! Probably not. Just watch the YouTube Link in this blog!

Did you know that many of these "pit-potions" contain cancer & Alzheimer causing ingredients?

Did you know that many clog and damage your pores & sweat glands?

"Meh. People have used deodorant forever, so it's not a problem that I'm worrying about now."

You just hold that thought. I PROMISE you, this is nothing new, people are simply becoming aware. As a nurse I have cared for some who had clogged sweat glands, that got infected, needed drained, and antibiotics. OUCH! And as a Nurse Esthetician I have done extractions in armpits to clear clogged pores. YES, it's very much a thing.

The purpose of antiperspirant is to block sweat glands, not allowing sweat to flow to the skins surface. Most all popular brands of deodorant/antiperspirant also contain aluminum to make that happen. This plays a factor in the development of Alzheimer disease, and also kidney disease. I don't recommend soaking it up into your pores.

Some research has suggested that these aluminum compounds may be absorbed by the skin and cause changes in estrogen receptors of breast cells. Because estrogen can promote the growth of both cancer and non-cancer breast cells, some scientists have suggested that using the aluminum-based compounds in antiperspirants may be a risk factor for the development of breast cancer.

It's just science, baby!

I'm not a naturalist or hippy, but once you see for yourself the infections and extractions, you decide to sway close to the safe side!

If you sweat and shower regularly, your odds of running into problems are low. But I love that we have complete access to healthy products. Purchasing organic, aluminum free, all natural deodorant is too simple.

I found this site that has 23 of the best and healthiest, that can be ordered online.

Spread the word, not the aluminum. :)

Knowledge is power!
